FC 25 Best Picks for Finesse Express Evolution

Finesse Express in EA FC 25 will give your strikers two of the best Playstyles+ in the game — Tiki Taka and Finesse Shot. Tiki Taka will add excellent cutbacks and one-touch play into your attacker’s repertoire, ensuring your forwards keep possession even in tight spaces or against high-pressure defenses. And we don’t have to tell you how good Finesse Shot is. It is common sense at this point.

Even if the player already has a gold Playstyles, Finesse Express gives their base versions, so you’re getting benefits for doing it one way or the other. All that’s without taking the roles and tidy stats boost into account.

But who benefits the most from these boosts? We have listed six of the most notable attackers who are perfect for the Finesse Express Evolution.

EA FC 25 Finesse Express Evolution Requirements And Total Upgrades

To start the Finesse Express Evolution in EA FC 25, you’ll need 30,000 Coins or 350 FC Points. Nothing crazy in terms of cost, so it is super worth doing for the price point. Here are other requirements and maximum upgrades you can get.

Requirements
Overall: Max 88
Pace: Max 94
PlayStyles: Max 10
PlayStyles+: Max 2
Position: ST

Upgrades
Overall: +4 (Max 90)
Shooting: +6 (Max 90)
Passing: +6 (Max 81)
Dribbling: +6 (Max 88)
Weak Foot: +1 (Max 4)
PlayStyles+: Finesse Shot, Tiki Taka (Max 2)
PlayStyles: Tiki Taka, Finesse Shot (Max 10)
Roles: False 9++, Advanced Forward++, Target Forward+

Remember, players will retain their existing Playstyles+ over the EVOs. In instances where the player has only one Playstyle+, they’ll gain whatever is written first in the description, which is Finesse Shot+ in this case.

As for the challenges, you’ll have to play a total of seven games with the cards and win one along the way. One challenge requires you to score one goal in two separate matches, so you’ll have to either start them or sub early instead of waiting for the last minutes. Playing Squad Battle on Semi-Pro after you’ve exhausted your weekly games is the easiest choice, as always.

FC 25 Best Players Finesse Express Evolution

Before beginning the Evolution, keep your chaining options in check. In general, you’ll get the best results by chaining Fantasy FC Cup Shooting > Fantasy FC Rush Passing > Fantasy FC Captain > Fantasy FC League Dribbling > and then the Finesse Express. Fantasy FC Captain and Finesse Express are paid, and the rest are free. All of our six picks are assuming you’ll go this path.

Lower-rated cards can be chained with other EVOs, too, like Complete Winger. Whatever path you choose, if your end target for the player is Finesse Shot, make sure your previous upgrades don’t exceed the requirements we listed above.

Below are the standout players for the Finesse Express Evolution in EA FC 25. Keep in mind this isn’t strictly a ranked list, as what’s best for you depends on multiple factors like chemistry, available cards, playstyle, and team needs. However, the lower you go on this list, the less viable and impactful the upgrades become.

1. Federico Chiesa

Federico Chiesa is arguably the best card that you can use the Evolution for. There are a couple of paths you can go depending on whether you want both the Playstyles+ or just Finesse Shot. Speaking purely stats wise, you’re better off chaining the Italian with all the Fantasy boosts we mentioned above and the Complete Winger Evolution before tossing him to Finesse Express. The added Evolution gives him Technical+ and other good silver Playstyles.

But that’s going to cost you around 180,000 Coins in Evolution and an additional 10,000+ if you already don’t have his Gold card. The final result is worth the cost, however. A 99 dribbling and Technical+ on someone who is jammy and has a unique body type like Chiesa? That’s a proper ratty-tier player to have in your Ultimate Team.

Another option is to skip Complete Winger to get the Tiki Taka+ if you prefer that. You’ll lose a couple of Playstyles on this path. Of course, if you’ve already done the Complete Winger on someone else, then you have no option other than to not do it. You do get a solid player regardless.

Likewise, if you’ve already done Fantasy Captain, you can just do the free ones plus Finesse Express. Federico Chiesa will then be eligible for future possible chains to boost his stats and add playstyles. Generally, our suggestion for Evolutions is to wait until the very end to identify the best path, and we recommend not being impulsive with Finesse Express as well.

2. Rafael Leão

Doing an Evolution for Rafael Alexandre da Conceição Leão in EA FC 25? Feeling daring today, aren’t we? Yes, we know that’s not anything original, but he’ll remain a solid pick for almost all attacking-related Evolutions. His base Gold already has a Rapid+, so you’re not getting Tiki Taka+. The best chain for him is the one we recommended at the start — the many Fantasy boosts and Finesse Express at the end.

Another option is doing the Complete Winger instead of Fantasy Captain. This will give you more base playstyles, 5-star weak foot, and Technical+ instead of Finesse+. Your pick here depends on how you plan to play him and which Evo you still have available. He does get the silver Finesse Shot with Complete Winger, so that could be the one for all the controlled sprint merchants.

Leão has a lot of options here. Even if you’ve exhausted most Evolutions, a simple Just Like Jamie and other Fantasy boosts will still make him formidable.

Both paths give you a very good card. The Portuguese is very good on the flank, and he’ll be agile with 99 dribbling and Press Proven. One bad news, however. Rafael Leão is extinct because everybody is doing his Evo, so you won’t be able to buy him off the market for a good while.

3. Darwin Núñez

Darwin Núñez’s TOTW card is another standout for the Evolution, although he is slightly worse than the other two picks. One reason why the 6′ 2″ Uruguayan might be better is if you’re looking for target men on the front. With higher jumping, he is more likely to convert headers and be more “bullish” with better strength and stamina.

Núñez’s First Touch+ has its merits, too, even if it isn’t strictly on par with Technical+ or Rapid+ that you get from our top 2 picks. If you do a lot of driven passes, someone like Núñez is who you’d want at the end of them. He can receive the ball on the turn easily and transition quickly to attack, making him deadly on counters.

We must say that First Touch+ is underrated, but if you want both the EVO’s gold Playstyles, you can chain his base Gold instead of TOTW. Do all the free and the paid Fantasy boosts and then Finesse Express. Of course, it’ll have worse stats, but you’ll also have an 88-rated card, which makes him eligible for future Evolutions.

You can also do his Centurions, but you won’t get 99 dribbling. However, you will get Rapid+ instead of First Touch+, which makes it worth a consideration even if all the other stats remain virtually the same. We’d suggest with TOTW even if you don’t have it — he is not very expensive, around 40,000 should do.

4. Trinity Rodman

Trinity Rodman’s base card is another good pick for the Finesse Express Evolution. It goes neck-and-neck with our top two picks in terms of stats and gains. She will be as responsive, rapid, and agile as any other player on the list.

One problem with her is getting on full chemistry. You’ll need around 3 Icons and a player/manager from the USA to get full chemistry. Something that won’t be an issue with other cards. Rodman’s WF and SM are both four stars, so that’s nothing too bad, but someone like Chiesa with his 5-star WF will be a better frontman on your team.

But if chemistry isn’t an issue, Trinity Rodman is a top-tier pick for doing the Finesse Express Evolution in EA FC 25. And don’t forget about her celebration! If the many goals you score with her don’t get under your opponent’s skin, her petty little dance certainly will.

5. João Félix

João Félix is another base Gold that fits perfectly for the Evolution, albeit with an expensive chain. He feels good and responsive to play, and with 5-star SM, he’ll perform on par with his Portuguese peer, who ranked at the top of our list.

Since he is 80-rated, you can add one additional chain for better stats. Our recommendation will be to do Finesse Express at the start, followed by Fantasy Captain and Just Like Jamie. Remember, Just Like Jamie should be done, at least among these three. Otherwise, the chain won’t be possible, as the EVO will push João’s OVR beyond the maximum requirement for others.

Put on all the above three EVOs with the Fantasy ones — Rush Passing, Cup Shooting, and League Dribbling. Do these after Jamie so you don’t exceed the shooting and passing requirement for Just Like Jamie. The Fantasy Dribbling gives the basic Press Proven, and having it is important. With it, you can shield better with Félix and make sure he doesn’t ruin your one-touch passes in tight areas. Press Proven also complements his explosive style.

It is the most expensive path in the entire list — 195,000 Coins to get all that done. But much, much cheaper than his Fantasy FC SBC, which is unlikely to get any major upgrade. You sure won’t find Rafael Leão off the market either, and Félix is a worthy candidate. The only reason why he is lower on this list is because he is more expensive than others, and you may not have all the EVOs available.

6. Randal Kolo Muani

All of Kolo Muani’s cards are worth putting into the Finesse Express chain we’ve been repeating throughout the list. He has near-comparable stats to our top picks. Plus, a tall and lean build should, in theory, mean Muani will be responsive on runs and an amazing aerial threat.

Although, for standard Gold, you can skip Finesse Express and going with Fantasy Captain and then Just Like Jamie. You’ll get a better pace, shooting, and physical than any of his Finesse Express versions. You’ll have no Finesse Shot and worse passing, however. Still an excellent card, to be fair.

Kolo Muani’s Thunderstruck card, meanwhile, won’t be able to get a 99 dribbling boost when chained. That’s because it’ll push his OVR to 90 and render him unqualified for Finesse Express. Getting his TOTW should be much cheaper. So, we recommend going with that path if you don’t have Thunderstruck and are unwilling to cough up 200,000-plus coins for the same.

Which one you pick for the Evolution depends on whether you want 99 dribbling or better shooting and a bigger list of silver playstyles. For us, his TOTW card strikes a nice middle ground and looks good whether or not you get the many passes and shooting boosts.

That wraps up our short list of cards. We checked for as many as we could, but outside of these six, they weren’t as big of standouts, or we felt they’re best kept as is for future possible evolutions. Anyway, we’ll dump another list of names who can be considered for the Evo if you like them:
Fran Kirby (Grassroot Greats)
Geyse da Silva Ferreira (Inform)
Hugo Ekitike (Thunderstruck)
Marcus Rashford
Matheus Cunha (Inform)
Mayra Ramírez (Inform for 99 dribbling; otherwise, the Track Stars)
Omar Marmoush (Inform)
Viktor Gyokeres (Inform)

Outside of these, if you have any favorite players who receive a nice boost and get the Playstyle, you’re fine to do it.

Is Finesse Express Evolution Worth Doing In EA FC 25?
Yes, Finesse Express is worth doing, especially if you’re chaining it with the Fantasy Rush Passing, Cup Shooting, League Dribbling, and other EVOs like Fantasy Captain and Complete Winger. The cost isn’t anything steep that you can’t grind in a few days. Plus, the Playstyles and other upgrades are very worth the price.

Even if you don’t have or like the most popular cards and want to cook something special, you can pick any Silver or low-rated cards with a 90-plus pace. Then chain every one of the Evos that benefit the card and get yourself an 82-rated monster like this Daizen Maeda. He is him with 93 pace, 91 shooting, 87 passing, 99 dribbling, and 82 physical with Technical+ and several good standard Playstyles.

While any Evolution is worth considering, never rush doing these upgrades. The best advice is to wait as late as you can, right until the last unlock day of the EVOs. Don’t miss the dates for chains, though. By waiting you can better judge the best possible path and not lose out on a better upgrade that was released days after you did the existing one.
