1. Save your packs!
If you've played EA Sports FC or FIFA before, you should know that the best way to improve your chances of a TOTY is simply by saving packs. The more packs, the better the chances of packing someone good. If you haven't got saving yet, well you can start now, because the Numero FUT promo has nothing worth opening packs for, particularly with TOTY only around the corner.
2. Wait for the right time
The TOTY promo lasts two weeks in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team, but it's worth noting that the full men's and women's TOTY squads don't go live until the final week. If you want to give yourself the best chance of packing any sort of TOTY card, wait and save your packs for Friday, January 24. Between then and Friday, January 31, the men's TOTY Ultimate XI, women's TOTY Ultimate XI, TOTY Icons Team 1, TOTY Icons Team 2, TOTY Honourable Mentions squad and the men's and women's 12th TOTY player will all be in packs, instantly boosting the odds in your favour.
3. Save your fodder!
Ahead of TOTY, EA may try to tempt you into using your fodder by relating some new player SBCs, Icon player picks, and more. If you can, try your best to hold off and wait for TOTY. As we've seen in past TOTY events, some incredible SBCs are released during TOTY, including TOTY-themed players and huge upgrade packs.
In EA FC 24, TOTY Honourable Mentions Bruno Fernandes and TOTY Icon Homare Sawa were both released during TOTY, with these two proving to be some of the best midfielders in the game, months on from TOTY. If you are going to complete any SBCs, try to stick to upgrade SBCs and save the packs for TOTY.
4. Play the game and earn rewards
It sounds straightforward, and that's because it is – the more you play the game, the more rewards you will gain ahead of TOTY. In past years, EA has improved the Division Rivals and FUT Champions rewards ahead of the TOTY promo by giving out bigger and better packs, so if there's ever a time to strive for the top tiers of Rivals and Champions, it's now.
Not only will playing games earn you these rewards, but you can also complete Objectives simultaneously, giving you a few extra packs to save in the hopes of packing a TOTY.
